Lesson- 15/09/11

Our lesson objectives:

  • Demonstrate control using the camera
  • Familiar with camera instructions/ shoot description
  • Evaluate framing and troubleshooting
This lesson we began shooting a short footage of a character being followed. To do this effectively we had to shoot the sequence using different angles and shots to make the piece look more professional. We used a variety of different shots; Long shot, close up, extreme close up, mid shot, and a over the shoulder shot. Obviously, we had to ensure that when carrying out a close up we had to make sure of filming the character's shoulders, and when filming a mid shot we had to not cut the waist of the actor. Also, we learnt about the different angles, and how effective the angles would be within our pieces.
I worked in a group of four; Tahnee, Magdalena, Georgina and Adam. Our team worked very well together, everyone contributed and expanded on the ideas therefore allowing our piece the be the best it can be. We all took turns of capturing the different shots, ensuring everyone to get familiar with the recordings. Georgina acted as our character, she played a woman getting followed, and did a brilliant job, as her acting was very natural and did not look forced upon in the footage. Our actual footage looks very professional as we used a variety of shots to mix up, so its not just one angle and one shot- this would of been very boring. We did not have time this lesson to edit our footage, so this will be done next lesson, and exported then placed on this post.
*ADD FOOTAGE IN ONCE EDITED
